‍Life has a way of showing up on our skin.

Stress, long days, restless nights, changing seasons—I began to notice it everywhere. My scalp was constantly itchy and irritated. My skin felt more reactive. No matter how many premium products I tried, nothing brought lasting relief.

Like many people, I wanted something that truly worked—something gentle that supported my body instead of fighting it.

After years as a lawyer in a demanding career, and while recovering from multiple surgeries, I started searching for a different approach to well-being. In 2022, that search led me to Traditional Chinese herbal wisdom. I began studying, experimenting, and eventually making my own herbal shampoo bars at home using traditional Chinese medicinal herbs.

The results surprised me. Within a few washes, the irritation I’d struggled with for years nearly disappeared. Friends and family tried them, and kept asking for more.

That one shampoo bar became the beginning of something much bigger.

Since then, I’ve continued studying herbal formulas and creating the products I use every day, from cleansing bars and scalp care to toners and creams. Along the way, I noticed more than healthier skin and hair. I slept better. I felt more balanced. Daily care became less about fixing problems and more about slowing down.

Yuen Origin was born from that journey.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches, inspired by centuries of Chinese herbal traditions and adapted for modern life. My hope is simple: to create gentle, effective rituals that help you care for your skin, your hair and yourself—with ingredients chosen for purpose, not trends.

Because sometimes the oldest wisdom is exactly what we need today.
